Bio

Ron started playing trumpet at the age of ten, first studying with his father, an amateur trumpet player and classical musical enthusiast who played in the Bellevue Philharmonic orchestra for many years. He later studied trumpet with Dell Hartman, and Roy Cummings at the University of Washington while earning a BA in Music Education. Since college Ron has been playing music professionally and teaching privately for more than twenty years on trumpet, trombone, and baritone. Proficient in many different styles of music, Ron’s playing can be heard in various jazz settings, the traditional Cuban son band Supersones, musical theatre, and the Full Circle jazz orchestra.
